Each item in our shop is handcrafted in the U.S. by an Independent Maker and can be personalized with your name or initials.


Purchase Process

1. Add items to your shopping cart and complete the online checkout process.
2. You'll receive an order receipt immediately sent to your email address.
3. We'll send your order to the maker(s) within 1 business day to initiate the handcrafting process.
4. You can expect to receive your order within the timeframe individually specified for each item you've purchased. If your items are coming from multiple makers, they may arrive at different times and in different packaging. Contact us at hello@americanfarmhouseco.com with any questions.


Payments and Tax

All major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, AmEx) are accepted. Payments are processed by Stripe if you checkout online or WePay if we send you an electronic invoice. Payment in full is due at the time of purchase, with the exception of large custom furniture orders of $3,000.00+ for which a deposit equal to half of the total cost is due at the time of purchase. Please contact us with any questions.

Different states have different taxes. If your state or the maker's state requires a sales tax, we will automatically add that charge during the checkout process. A 9.25% sales tax is automatically added to all Tennessee orders and will be applied during check-out.


Shipping

Along with offering the highest quality artisan goods available, The American Farmhouse Company aims to provide you with a smooth shipping experience. We offer free shipping on most small and medium-sized items within the Contiguous United States. We ship primarily via USPS. Once your items have been made and your order has been shipped, we’ll send an email letting you know your items are on their way. That email will include tracking information.

Items shipped to Alaska, Hawaii and U.S. territories are delivered with an additional charge.

Additional delivery charges may apply to items that are too large or require special packaging. Because furniture and other large items are heavy and may have limited availability, these items have a delivery and processing surcharge. Any charges will be listed on the product page and will appear at checkout, or will be provided via email or telephone on an individual basis with a notation of "Shipping Additional" on the product page. Please note that furniture and other oversized items are unable to ship to US territories, Alaska, Hawaii, islands within the Continental US, PO boxes, APO/FPO addresses and locations outside of the US.

When you place your order, we will provide you with an estimated date of when your items will be ready to ship. All our products are designed and made by independent makers across the country. Each maker bases the estimated ready-by date on the total amount of goods already on order and the current rate at which they're shipping items each week. While we do everything we can to get these products to you as soon as possible, arrival times may vary.

Upon delivery, please inspect your artisan goods for any damage, and contact us within 5 business days to resolve any issues that arise. If the packaging or crate is damaged or defective, please do not accept delivery.  If you reject the delivery due to damage, the cost of the return shipping will be covered by the carrier. 


Returns and Exchanges

We understand that buying made-to-order, handcrafted, custom goods is a often big decision and we work to set clear expectations of quality, character, color, and delivery timing. Due to the nature of our made-to-order model, all sales are considered final upon receipt of payment. Our products are made just for you and cannot be returned or exchanged unless they arrive damaged or defective. If your items do arrive damaged or defective, please contact us within 5 business days.

We'll come up with the perfect custom item for you. If you like our style but don't see exactly what you're looking for, don't give up yet!
